Front End Developer at KBD

Salary Range: $50000 - $90000

Based in Louisville, KY, KBD partners primarily with venture capital firms and enterprise technology companies to build compelling brands and cutting-edge digital experiences.

Job Summary:

The Front End Developer position is a mid-level opportunity for talented developers looking to hit the ground running at a busy brand experience agency.

Responsibilities

• Build responsive Wordpress themes from scratch and maintain previously built sites.
• Create reusable code and libraries for future use
• Write and maintain clean and composed JavaScript - Functional/modular; ES6/7; Webpack/Gulp; Animations
• Write and maintain clean and composed CSS
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Q/A and cross-browser test sites
• Communicate clearly with the design team, other members of the development team, and stakeholders
• Setup a basic webserver

Requirements

• 2-3 years of development experience, with demonstrated work building in Wordpress
• Extensive knowledge of HTMLS, CSS3/SCSS, PHP, JavaScript
• Familiarity with Docker
• Experience with MVC pattern and its usage in PHP
• Experience writing flexible email templates in integrated marketing management frameworks (Marketo, Hubspot, etc.)
• Experience with command line (SSH) and web servers: Nginx and Apache
• Experience with Git
• Fundamental knowledge of design tools, including Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Sketch
• Experience with command line and web servers: Apache and Nginx
• Flexible, adaptive, and able to thrive in a collaborative startup environment
• Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them
• Keen sense of aesthetic and detail-oriented

Preferred Skills

• Experience with React, Vue, or Angular
• Familiarity with Advanced Custom Fields and static site generators
• Familiarity with Wordpress REST API and/or WPGraphQL
• San Francisco Bay Area and/or Louisville connections are a nice bonus

$50,000 - $90,000 a year (salaried position, commensurate with experience)
